President – Diego R. del Pino
Diego was born and raised in Miami and is extremely proud to be a Miamian. He is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Business and boasts more than 20 years of experience in security, life-safety and systems integration. In addition to his business accolades, he has served on the boards of numerous public and private organizations.
In 2009, Diego’s deep passion for electronics and entertainment systems guided him to found AVX, The Audio Video Experts. Through his vision and innovative thinking, he has positioned AVX as one of the leading custom integrators in South Florida. Whenever Diego is not at work or with his family, he can be found somewhere in the woods or on the waters of Florida.
Vice President of Operations – Eric del Pino
Eric was born and raised in Miami and spent his summers in Key Biscayne as a child. As a youth, he was an oarsman for the Miami Rowing Club and attended Gulliver Preparatory in Key Biscayne. Today, he retains his close ties to the area as a partner in APS Security Systems, which is a family-owned company that has been dedicated to providing customers with integrated-security and life-safety systems. It is a Miami-based company with offices in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and Port of Spain, Trinidad.
Eric has dedicated the last 8 years to developing and running operations in the Caribbean. He moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico, in 2004 to expand the business and to create a local office focused on the demands and developments on the island and in the rest of the Caribbean. In 2010, he grew the business’ footprint by commencing operations in Port of Spain, Trinidad, to more efficiently coordinate projects, including One Woodbrooke Place, which is the largest multi-use project in the Caribbean.
Senior Sales Manager (Miami Dade & Caribbean) – Jose Santiago
Driven by his passion for electronics, in 1998 Jose traded in his Telecommunications career for one in the would then be considered a new and exciting world of networking. This career change lead Jose into the world of Custom Electronics and Integration. Since that time, he has worked as a Sales Manager at the largest Custom Integrator in the Caribbean, as a business owner and has managed to collect a large amount of Manufacturer Certified Programming Certificates from most of the major CI Industry brands.
Since joining AVX in 2015, Jose has managed sales in the areas of Luxury Custom Homes, Luxury Condo, and upgrade sales for developers. His area of expertise includes in designing Luxury Control and Entertaining Systems, and all facets of handling customer relationships.

Senior Programmer – Rafael E. Colon
Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Rafael began his career as a systems designer at the young age of 22.
He has a strong background in information systems and understands their vital role in today’s custom integrated system. Thanks to that experience, he most recently served as the technical support and training representative for a worldwide electronics manufacturer covering the Caribbean region.
Rafael has been factory-trained by many of the industry’s leading manufacturers, including AVX, Crestron, Vantage, Kaleidescape, Universal Remote Control, Legrand and Image & Science Foundation.
His responsibilities at AVX include systems design, systems programming, advanced technical support and product management.
